Supplies:
*Peach (I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease in Fisherman)
Less than 1 skein, or Color of your
choice.
*Blue (I used Patons Metallic in Blue
Steel)
Less than 1 Skein, or color of your
choice.
*Red (I used Vickie Howels for Caron
SHEEPISH in RED(ISH))
Less than 1 Skein, or color of your
choice.
*White (I used Lion Brand Vanna's
Choice in White)
Less than 1 Skein, or color of your
choice.
*Black (I used Loops and Threads
Impeccable in Black)
Less than 1 Skein, or color of your
choice.
*Size U.S. E or 4 (3.50 mm) crochet
hook or whichever hook you prefer in amigurumi. The smaller the
better!
*Scissors
*Yarn Needle
*Stitch Marker
*6mm/.24IN Black Safety Eyes
*Polyfil/Fiberfil for stuffing
Gauge: As small as you can crochet, he is roughly 6 inches tall!
Abbreviations:
ch = chain stitch
st = stitch
SC = single crochet
HDC = Half Double Crochet
sc2tog = single crochet 2 stitches
together (sc decrease)
DC = double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
Head
Rnd 1: In Peach, make a magic ring and
work 5 SC in the ring, do not join, work as continuous rounds, use you stitch marker to mark the end of each rnd. (We are
starting at the top of her head)
Rnd 2: 2 SC in each stitch, repeat
around (10 SC)
Rnd 3: SC in next st, 2 SC in next st,
repeat around (15 SC)
Rnd 4: SC in next 2 sts, 2 SC in next
st, repeat around (20 SC)
Rnd 5: SC in next 3 sts, 2 SC in next
st, repeat around (25 SC)
Rnd 6: SC in next 4 sts, 2 SC in next
st, repeat around (30 SC)
Rnd 7: SC in next 5 sts, 2 SC in next
st, repeat around (35 SC)
Rnd 8: SC in next 6 sts, 2 SC in next
st, repeat around (40 SC)
Rnd 9: SC in next 7 sts, 2 SC in next
st, repeat around (45 SC)
Rnds 10-15: SC around (45 SC)
Rnd 16: SC in next 22 sts, Bobble in
the next st (*Yo and insert the hook into the st, pull up a look, yo,
pull through 2 loops* repeat 4 more times, yo, pull through all loops
on your hook), SC in next 22 sts (45 sts)
Rnd 17: SC around (45 SC)
Rnd 18: SC in next 7 sts, sc2tog,
repeat around (40 SC)
Rnd 19: SC in next 6 sts, sc2tog,
repeat around (35 SC)
Rnd 20: SC in next 5 sts, sc2tog,
repeat around (30 SC) I embroidered my mouth around rows 19 and 20. I
also added my eyes a couple rows up from the nose and evenly spaced
away from each other.
Rnd 21: SC in next 4 sts, sc2tog,
repeat around (25 SC)
Rnd 22: SC in next 3 sts, sc2tog,
repeat around (20 SC) Begin Stuffing head.
Rnd 23: SC in next 2 sts, sc2tog,
repeat around (15 SC)
Rnd 24: SC in next st, sc2tog, repeat
around (10 SC)
Rnd 25: Sc2tog around 5 sc (5 SC) Sew
up your hole and hide remaining string.
Wig Cap
**I chose not to use a wig cap, instead
I sewed his hair in strand by strand, and poofy bangs on top of it**
Rnd 1: In Black, make a magic ring and
work 5 SC in the ring, do not join, work as continuous rounds, use you stitch marker to mark the end of each rnd.
Rnd 2: 2 SC in each stitch, repeat
around (10 SC)
Rnd 3: SC in next st, 2 SC in next st,
repeat around (15 SC)
Rnd 4: SC in next 2 sts, 2 SC in next
st, repeat around (20 SC)
Rnd 5: SC in next 3 sts, 2 SC in next
st, repeat around (25 SC)
Rnd 6: SC in next 4 sts, 2 SC in next
st, repeat around (30 SC)
Rnd 7: SC in next 5 sts, 2 SC in next
st, repeat around (35 SC)
Rnd 8: SC in next 6 sts, 2 SC in next
st, repeat around (40 SC)
Rnd 9: DC around (40 DC)
Leave a long tail at the end for
sewing
onto the head. Thread hair through the cap to make the hair, and
style as you wish! I folded a piece in half, and knotted it to the
inside of the cap, and thread it through the cap to the outside, that
way you don't see any knots!
Torso
Rnd 1: In Blue, make a magic ring and
work 6 SC in the ring, do not join. (We are beginning
at the bottom of his torso)
Rnd 2: 2 SC in each st, repeat around
(12 SC)
Rnd 3: SC in next st, 2 SC in next st,
repeat around (18 SC)
Rnds 4-5: SC around (18 SC) switch to
red at the end of rnd 5
Rnds 6-7: In Red, SC around (18 SC)
switch to white at the end of rnd 7
Rnds 8-10: In White, SC around (18 SC)
Rnd 11: SC in next 9 stitches, In
Peach, SC in next st, In White, SC in next 8 sts (18 SC)
Rnd 12: SC in next SC in next 7 sts, In
Peach, SC in next 4 sts, In White, SC in next 7 sts (18 SC) Fasten
off. I would use a peach yarn for attaching to the head so you do
not have to leave a long strand if you do not wish.
Collar: In white, (SC, HDC, SC) in
front loop of the first white stitch next to the peach skin, (one
side of his collar), SC in the front loops of the next 12 sts, (SC,
HDC, SC) in the front loop of the last white stitch before peach.
Fasten off and hide tails.
Arms (make 2)
Rnd 1: In Peach, make a magic ring and
work 6 SC in the ring, do not join. (We are beginning at the bottom
of the hand)
Rnd 2: Sc in the next st, 2 SC in next
st, repeat around (9 SC)
Rnd 3: SC in the next st, Sc2tog,
repeat around (6 SC)
Rnds 4-5: SC around (6 SC)
Rnd 6: In White, SC in back loop only,
around (6 SC)
Rnds7-10: SC around (6 SC)
Fasten off and leave a long enough tail
to attach to your body.
Go back to the beginning of row 6, In
White, SC around using the front loops you left open, this will
create the Prince's sleeves. Fasten off and hide your tails!
Legs (make 2) - May have to shorten the
legs if using a thicker yarn
Rnd 1: In Black, make a magic ring and
work 8 SC in the ring, do not join. (We are beginning the bottom of
the foot)
Rnd 2: SC in the next st, 2 SC in next
st, repeat around (12 SC)
Rnd 3: SC in the next 2 sts, 2 SC in
next st, repeat around (16 SC)
Rnd 4: SC in the next 2 sts, Sc2tog,
repeat around (12 SC)
Rnd 5: SC in the next 4 sts, sc2tog,
repeat around (10 SC)
Rnd 6: In Blue, SC in back loop only,
around (10 SC)
Rnds 7-12: SC around (10 SC)
Fasten off and leave a long tail for
attaching your body.
Go back to the beginning of row 6, In
Blue SC around using the front loops you left open, make 2 rows, this
will create Prince's pant cuffs. Fasten off and hide your tails!
Now all that is left is putting together your doll! Thank you so so so
