Iron Drab

Crochet Corner to Corner Graphghan based on the Kingkiller Chronicle Trilogy.  Week 5 - Iron Drab







Welcome back to week 5 of the Kingkiller inspired Graphghan.  This week we calm things back down from last week with some Cealdish Currency!  Introducing the Iron Drab!  This one was one of the first ones I drew up.  I desperately wanted currency to be in my blanket!

*Yarn 4 ply Medium Worsted Weight in the following colors:
Light Blue (Background) I used Loops and Threads Impeccable in Clear Blue (almost 2 Skeins)
Charcoal (Iron Drab) I used Loops and Threads Impeccable in Dark Charcoal(Less than 1 Skein)
Black (Iron Drab) I used Loops and Threads Impeccable in Black (Less than 1 Skein)


*Size H-8/5mm Size (or for those who crochet tight like me… I-9/5.5mm crochet hook).  Or whatever size is needed to get the right gauge.
Gauge: 4 blocks = 3 Inches 
Square size: 18 inches, Finished blanket 54x54inches (4.5ftx45ft)

*Scissors
*Yarn Needle
*Plastic Clothes Pins as bobbins (optional)
*Print out this page or gear image and a pen (optional)

Abbreviations:
ch = chain stitch
ch sp = chain space
DC = double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
LB = Light Blue
C = Charcoal (Not to be confused with Cream from another Square)
B = Black (Also not to be confused with Browns or Burgundy)





-ROWS 1-25  Each Row begins with an increase block:  ch 6, DC in 4th ch from hook, DC in remaining 2 chs.  
Any blocks after: sl st into the ch sp, ch 3, 3 DC into same ch sp.

R1: 1LB (This row contains 1 block in Light Blue, turn and continue onto 2nd row)
R2: 2LB
R3: 3LB
R4: 4LB
R5: 5LB
R6: 1C, 5LB
R7: 5LB, 2C
R8: 3C, 5LB
R9: 5LB, 3C, 1LB
